I've often written about my dad, a decorated WWII B-17 bomber pilot. He was in a sense my mentor, but mostly my hero.A friend just posted on Facebook: My Dad, retired Deputy Chief of the El Paso Fire Department....my hero!!!
How sweet is that to be able to live up to your child's dreams and be their "hero". It's now on my bucket list.
